I was born in Riga, Latvia in 1985. After studying design in Denmark I went on an internship at Rasmus Koch Studio in Copenhagen where I developed my skills in graphic design. In 2007, I co-founded the Latvian culture magazine Veto, serving as art director. At the same time I began studying at the Design Academy Eindhoven, in the department Man & Living, where my primary focus was on furniture and interiors. Prior to my graduation in 2011 I completed an internship at Studio Robert Stadler in Paris. During the next two years I was working on diverse interior and graphic design projects for both Dutch and international clients. In September 2014 I started my own studio in Amsterdam.
A common theme in my work is investigating how people interact with their environment and how design can influence this interaction. I often employ my graphic design background to add a new and fresh approach to design and enjoy experimenting with different materials and perceptions of space.
Currently my work is represented by Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Milan; Gallery S. Bensimon, Paris; Mint, London, Spazio Materiæ, Naples.
