wi-fi installation, sms texts, 12 doormats (laser-engraved), three 2 min phone videos
Visitors, who connected to the free wi-fi in the exhibition, received a welcome sms to different countries, that notify them about the data retention laws.
Nowadays, instead of passports our cellphones identify us. The border controls are cellphone towers picking up our signal and sending an SMS welcoming us to the country.
Most of the time we receive these messages before or after its geographical border. When connecting to the network, all our data is under a law of a country without us being physically there. Our data may be sensitive. The phone can be our weapon against wrongdoings. And it can be suddenly turned against us.
