a teaching career requires deep knowledge, skills, and competency that will help become a successful educator. At the beginning of course EDU 115, I never knew how relevant to career it will be and whether I will achieve my career goals. However, I can  that the course has been insightful in providing strategies and proper applications in order to meet my career aims. The course would be nothing if it was not directly relevant to the career and if it could not help achieve our goals. This paper is a reflection of what I have learned in the course and how it will help me reach my career targets, especially in my further studies at DePaul.Topics Learned and My Career GoalsPublic speaking is mandatory for a teacher since the school serves a community with diverse learners, parents, and leaders. We discussed a lot about Milken presentations on enhancing effective public speaking, especially in teaching. Learning public speaking and practicing it are helpful in becoming a successful teacher and educator in the future. Milken presentations can be applied in various activities like word presentation, pronunciations, and general language introductions in order to achieve my goals. For instance, I will use the Milken presentations in my assessment and teaching Polish language. This will help me achieve my goal of getting my bilingual Polish endorsement and finally a certificate in bilingual education. Milken presentations is one of the modern techniques in which learning is made simpler through the use of pictures, graphics and sounds thus making learning interesting and easy for learners. I will also attend many public workshops, conferences, and seminars in order to gain more experience, build my confidence, and also put my skills into practice. I am happy that I got the opportunity to practice it during my course and obtain experience that will assist me during assessments and teaching.I also learned a lot about time management and its importance for studying in college and working as a teacher in the future. Time management is fundamental in every activity I do. In college, it is crucial for me to manage my time well in order to achieve my goals. I have a lot of things to do in college: studying, doing assignments, attending group discussions, doing research, engaging in extracurricular activities and many other things that would help me excel at school. As a future teacher, I need to organize myself now and then in order to be successful in attaining lesson objectives for the assigned classes. Setting my priorities and having a personal timetable with proper allocation of time to each course and activity will help me manage my time well hence graduating from my college. Planning my lesson on time, organizing my work, and attending my classes well will promote me to regulate my time effectively and become a successful teacher. To achieve my goal of finishing college on the stipulated time, I have to manage my time well so that I do not procrastinate, repeat courses, projects and classes. Therefore, time management is an important concept I have learned that will help me now and in the future thus making me achieve my goal of finishing college on time and with good grades.In the course, we used many articles, books, journals and other sources for our assignments, research proposals, and projects. With the course, I was able to search relevant materials to use, connect ideas to support my opinions, and deliver quality work. Moreover, the course helped me analyze sources like journal articles that seemed to be contradictory, especially when the authors use various appeals to persuade their audience. This knowledge will help me do my research well and attain my goal of finishing college and graduate from school.Finally, I acknowledge the support system at DePaul like teachers, deans, counselors, library staffs and many others for encouraging me during my studies. I do not forget the writing service I got from library assistants because now I am able to do my research projects. I appreciate the efforts of DePaul staff and community: the knowledge they imparted, advice and guidance will enable me to finish my college. Thanks to their support, I am sure I will achieve my goal of proceeding to graduate from school. Furthermore, they helped me understand and develop good characteristics of a highly effective teacher. Interaction with my teachers and counselors and their criticisms gave me understanding of desired conducts, professional practices, and principles that will make me an effective teacher. Indeed, this support I will not forget since they helped me achieve my aims and develop my career.Indeed, the course has been insightful in imparting knowledge and it offered experience to develop skills and competency that will make me a successful teacher and educator. The course provided relevant information as far as my career of teaching is concerned, and it was a key to achieve my career goals. Through the lessons I have learned in this course, I was able to get the strategies that I can use in meeting my targets. Certainly, the course has been my best foundation in my career development, especially by providing skills of time management, public speaking, and resource analysis among others. I appreciate the course and look for more ways to apply the lessons learned in my future career and personal life.
